This project involved taking the roof off of a two bed bungalow and demolishing some walls. A considerable amount of structural steel was used to support the new first floor and new roof. Three bedrooms and a family bathroom where then created. Three flat roof dormers where built to provide ample natural light.
The veranda was extended on the front and supported on four green oak posts. On the rear of the property a single storey extension was built. The lounge was extended and an existing kitchen wall was removed to provide a large kitchen / dining area. The two velux roof lights provide additional light over the dining area. The patio doors provide not only natural light but also easy access into the garden for those summer barbecues.
